On Thursday, December 15, 2016, West Bank Business Association Hosted Annual Awards and Holiday Party! This year’s Annual Holiday Party and Awards event was held at Mixed Blood Theater.
The 2016 awardees included West Bank small businesses, West Bank Business Association Board members, Artists and Community Volunteers. Among the businesses who received the awards is successful business owner Abdirahman Issa Kahin and his business Afro Deli.
The West Bank Business Association’s executive director Jamie Schumacher and Phillip Kelly who is a member of WBBA board of directors honored the aforementioned awardees for their significant contributions to the West Bank community. Their impact has contributed to a better neighborhood and enriching the Cedar Riverside/West Bank Community.
The community members who attended the annual holiday party and awards event celebrated the hard work of the business association and a very successful 2016 year, while sharing treats and refreshments from the local restaurants and businesses.
WBBA exists to engage the business community in the responsible economic development of the West Bank district while preserving the unique character and heritage of the Cedar-Riverside area.
