Somali-American Entrepreneur Launches Women’s Beauty Care Line

In an exclusive interview with Tusmo Times Sagal Ali, Minneapolis based Somali-American entrepreneur discussed her new beauty care line specifically for black, muslim women and girls, called Sagal. The beauty care line launched exclusively on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Sagal Beauty Salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Sagal who has over ten years of experience as a salon owner/manager and a degree in cosmology explains why this line was so important to her and to black, muslim women and their children as a whole:

“I want muslim, black women and their girls to have great, natural and high quality beauty products.” Sagal Ali, who launched her skin and hairline today has a very popular  beauty salon in Karmel, the largest Somali Mall in Minneapolis.

Sagal also went into detail about how her beauty care line is inspired by her culture and clients’ need “A lot of people from my community are struggling to find natural and organic hair and beauty care products and since I always use quality products for my clients, I was inspired by the sense of community and my unique culture to research and create natural and organic products, while learning from my client’s beauty journey”.

“My clients are all amazing and beautiful, no matter what they are going through and our organic beauty product is to celebrate and support the natural beauty of my clients one at time”,  Sagal said.

The Sagal Beauty Care line currently contains a stable of 8 products that range in price from $19 to $35 and will be available at Sagal Beauty Salon and it’s website in March. The hair products include: Shampoo, Moisturizing Conditioner, Living Conditioner, Hair Oil Treatment, Face mask, Face cleanser, Face toner and Face moisturizer.

Sagal told Tusmo Times that her products will be available online so more people can have access and order the products. The site will feature hard-to-find organic products from Sagal Beauty Care brand, she will also offer beauty and self care advice.

During the launch, Sagal  also plans to visit Twin Cities community, businesses and faith based locations, local tradeshows and other beauty events to promote her beauty care brand.

The launching of Sagal Beauty Care line comes to a time women of color  entrepreneurs  are creating their own lines. To serve better to her  clients and consumer of color, Sagal’s  beauty brand will  offer  alternative, organic and healthier options.

Finally, Sagal’s passion for beauty and her beauty care line that is filled with purpose and natural ingredients, gently extracted from nature, and thoughtfully crafted for her clients’ skin care regimen is a long overdue and much needed.
