A 20 year old Somali women killed in a car crash

Sawda Osman who lived in Marshall, Minnesota was killed in a three-vehicle crash Saturday night on Minnesota Highway 23 near Green Valley, according to Minnesota State Patrol.

The fatal crash that caused Sawda’s death was reported around 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Sawda was driving a 1999 Buick northbound on Highway 23, just south of 350th Street when it crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2002 Nissan driven by Edy Donis Corado of Elkton, S.D., Patrol said.

A 2004 Mitsubishi driven by Catherine Dobbins of Ghent was also southbound on Highway 23 and collided with the Nissan, Patrol said.

Sawda Osman was killed and three people were hurt in the three-vehicle crash. She died at the scene. The driver and two passengers in the SUV were taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The third driver wasn’t hurt too.

Sawda Osman will be buried in Marshall tomorrow afternoon. Minnesota State roadways were not in good condition Sunday, rain and ice presented more of a driving obstacles.
